Floretta P. Carson Visual and Performing Arts Academy is built on the belief that the arts help students discover, discipline, and express their gifts. At FP Carson Academy, students have opportunities to grow creatively while also developing the academic, personal, and collaborative skills they need for the future.

Our arts program is organized around four focus areas: Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. Together, these areas create a learning environment where students can explore their interests, strengthen their creativity, and develop confidence in how they think, create, present, and work with others.

Where Creativity and Student Growth Come Together

The arts are an essential part of the FP Carson Academy experience. Students are encouraged to develop their creative abilities while also building discipline, focus, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Whether a student is moving through choreography, learning music, exploring character, or creating visual work, the process teaches more than technique. It helps students practice preparation, persistence, self-expression, and reflection. These are skills that support success in the classroom, on the stage, in the studio, and beyond graduation.
